We are seeking a highly skilled GIS System Administrator to join our Integrated Digital Services (IDS) Team at Pinchin Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of our Geographic Information System (GIS) infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- GIS Platform Management: Oversee the implementation of GIS software, databases, and related technologies, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Data Management: Develop and implement GIS data management policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and training to users, ensuring they have the necessary skills to effectively utilize our GIS systems.
- System Administration: Manage and administer GIS & ETL (extract, transform, and load) platforms, databases, and servers, ensuring they are secure, up-to-date, and running efficiently.
- Project Collaboration: Collaborate with our IT department to identify GIS platform security needs and develop solutions, ensuring our systems are secure and compliant with industry standards.
- Professional Development: Stay current with GIS industry trends, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our systems and processes.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree with a major emphasis in GIS, Computer Science/Engineering, Geography, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in GIS system administration, data management, and technical support.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise Platform, AutoCAD, and ETL tools such as Safe Software FME. Proficient in programming languages such as Python, JS, and R, and experience with complex SQL commands.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
