Position Overview

Role: Facility Maintenance Specialist

Lordco Auto Parts, a leading name in the automotive parts retail sector, is seeking a dedicated Facility Maintenance Specialist to support our operations across British Columbia and Alberta. As a family-owned business since 1974, we prioritize the well-being of our employees and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance support to all Lordco locations and warehouses.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and perform routine maintenance tasks and repairs.
  • Collaborate with service partners to effectively address maintenance challenges and unexpected issues.
  • Foster positive relationships with vendors, store personnel, and colleagues.
  • Maintain a detailed log of maintenance activities, including tasks and locations.
  • Address requests and concerns related to building maintenance from various locations.
  • Assist in the execution of assigned construction and maintenance projects.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance and repair requests.
  • Procure necessary supplies for maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Engage with trades and internal teams as needed for maintenance operations.
  • Monitor site safety to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure all facilities and equipment are in optimal working condition.
  • Participate in cross-departmental projects and initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong team player with a proactive mindset and a history of success.
  • Positive attitude and flexibility in a collaborative environment.
  • Capability to lift and move items weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Effective communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Experience in framing, drywall, plumbing, and painting is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of construction management and maintenance practices is beneficial.
  • Understanding of safe work practices in construction settings is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods as required.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Possession of relevant Trades Certification is preferred.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is between $50,000 and $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
