The Patient Food Service Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Patient Food department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food services to patients. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and oversee all activities of the Patient Food Operation, with a focus on Quality Assurance, Dietetic Undertakings, Food Safety, and Occupational Health & Safety.
- Lead and manage a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the department.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to meet established standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Human Resources and Occupational Health and Safety, to ensure effective personnel management and risk management.
- Monitor and control departmental costs and expenses, ensuring financial management and accountability.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HACCP standards and Retail Operational outcomes.
- 1-3 years' supervisory experience in Patient Food Service Operation or equivalent education/training.
- Advanced (Level 2) Food Safety Certification.
- Successful Vulnerable Police Check.
- Positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
