Senior Advisor Legal Affairs and Compliance Expert

Your responsibilities will include acting as an expert on the legal and regulatory framework for the sale and distribution of life and health insurance outside Quebec, guiding and advising internal and external stakeholders, and collaborating with external legal firms on litigation files. You will also be responsible for ensuring the planning, day-to-day management, and control of legal and regulatory activities dictated by provincial authorities outside Quebec.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will bring a strong analytical ability, solution-oriented mindset, and excellent communication and negotiation skills to the role.

**Key Responsibilities:**
* Act as an expert on the legal and regulatory framework for the sale and distribution of life and health insurance outside Quebec
* Guide and advise internal and external stakeholders on compliance and risk management matters
* Collaborate with external legal firms on litigation files
* Ensure the planning, day-to-day management, and control of legal and regulatory activities dictated by provincial authorities outside Quebec
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor's degree related to the sector of activity and six years of relevant experience or Master's degree related to the sector of activity and four years of relevant experience
* Member in good standing of a Canadian Bar
* Advanced level of understanding and knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework in the field of life and health insurance outside Quebec
* In-depth knowledge of products and activities related to the field of life and health insurance outside Quebec
* Relevant experience in an insurance firm or within a regulatory body outside Quebec
* Proven analytical ability with a strong solution-oriented mindset
* Strong communication and negotiation skills and demonstrate diplomacy and tact
* Sense of organization and priority management
