Job Title: Welder Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Welder Fitter to join our team at Heath & Sherwood (1964) Limited.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, reading and interpreting welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes. They will also operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines, fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal, and operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
  • Fabricate or repair metal parts and products using previously set-up welding machines.
  • Braze and torch-straighten metal to ensure high-quality finishes.
  • Work in a team environment to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding and fitting.
  • Equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
