Job Title: Welder and Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Welder and Fabricator to join our team at Heath & Sherwood (1964) Limited.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, reading and interpreting welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes, and operating manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines.
  • Fabricate or repair metal parts and products using previously set-up welding machines.
  • Bond metal or fill holes, indentations and seams of metal using previously set-up brazing or soldering machines.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye co-ordination.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience or equivalent experience.
