Job Title: Welder Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Welder Fitter to join our team at Heath & Sherwood (1964) Limited. As a Welder Fitter, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, reading and interpreting welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes, and operating manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines.
  • Fabricate or repair metal parts and products using previously set-up welding machines.
  • Bond metal or fill holes, indentations and seams of metal using previously set-up brazing or soldering machines.
Work Environment:

As a Welder Fitter, you will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with repetitive tasks, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye co-ordination required.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding and fitting.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered.
