Sales Territory Manager

As a key member of the Doka Canada team, you will play a crucial role in expanding the company's market presence in Quebec and the northern regions. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a designated sales territory, focusing on retaining existing accounts and cultivating new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and Pursue New Business Opportunities: Proactively seek out potential clients through cold calls, converting prospects into sales meetings.
- Develop and Expand Existing Accounts: Cultivate new and existing accounts, nurturing business relationships through face-to-face interactions.
- Maintain Accurate Customer Database: Regularly update and utilize a comprehensive customer/prospect database, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Travel Within Sales Territory: Frequent travel within your assigned territory is essential for engaging with clients, addressing their needs, and ensuring strong relationships.
- Prepare and Present Compelling Proposals: Develop sales proposals, obtain necessary approvals, and present proposals to clients.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Communicate effectively with engineering teams to ensure accurate proposals and project execution. Collaborate with sales and area managers to align with company and branch sales initiatives.
- Provide Excellent Customer Support: Conduct regular jobsite visits to ensure proper equipment utilization and customer satisfaction, addressing any issues promptly.
- Maintain Accurate Sales Reporting: Maintain timely and accurate sales reports, contributing to sales projections and backlog management.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Product Knowledge: Continuously build product knowledge and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Construction preferred.
- Experience: Min. 5 years of Sales/Account Management experience in the construction industry. Experience in infrastructure or mining is an asset.
- Language Skills: Must speak French; English is an asset.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and effective selling and problem-solving skills.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn new systems and techniques.
- Drive and Determination: Demonstrate drive and determination to achieve sales goals, contributing to the success of Doka Canada and the Umdasch Group.
- Collaborative Team Player: Work effectively within a team, addressing grievances directly and defining clear responsibilities.
- Trust and Respect: Embrace diversity and actively seek to understand others, fostering a respectful work environment.
- Understanding Partners' Needs: Communicate effectively to demonstrate the value of Doka's offerings and seek feedback for continuous improvement.

Our office is located in Montreal, but we are seeking a candidate based in Quebec or the northern region to effectively cover and travel within the designated territory (Quebec and northern regions). Occasional travel to Montreal, especially for onboarding and training, will be required.
