About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Equipment Servicer to join our team at Levitt Safety Limited. As a Fire Equipment Servicer, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of fire equipment and systems in various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Inspection and Repair

You will inspect fire equipment to determine the requirements for repair, replacement, or maintenance. This includes identifying defects, worn-out parts, and components that need to be repaired or replaced.

Repair and Maintenance

You will repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components using hand, power, or specially designed tools. This may involve calibrating equipment to ensure proper functioning.

Testing and Quality Control

You will test and adjust repaired equipment to ensure it is functioning properly. This includes completing work orders and test reports to document the work performed.

Training and Support

You will provide advice and training to users on the proper use and maintenance of fire equipment. This includes identifying and addressing any difficulties or issues that users may encounter.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

You must have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and at least 5 years of experience in a related field.

Work Setting

You will work in various locations, including offices, factories, and other industrial settings.

Security and Safety

You will be required to undergo a criminal record check, drug test, and driver's license check.

Transportation and Travel

You may be required to travel overnight for work-related purposes.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

You must have manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination. You may be required to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) on occasion.

Personal Suitability

You must be punctual, have a positive attitude, and be willing to work a 40-hour week.

Language and Work Term

The primary language of work is English, and the work term is permanent.
