Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

Victoria Education Centre is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
Requirements:
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
  • Medical exam and vulnerable sector check
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and community service providers
