Position Overview:

The Customer Acquisition Manager is tasked with directing ApplyBoard's strategies for attracting new customers across various segments, including recruitment partners, educational institutions, and students. This role encompasses managing diverse channels such as paid advertising, events, search engine optimization (SEO), website enhancement, and social media, ensuring that acquisition efforts are effective and optimized. This position is available to candidates in Canada or India.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Development and Leadership
    • Formulate and implement comprehensive acquisition strategies across multiple channels to drive customer growth.
    • Oversee the creation and execution of channel-specific strategies, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
  2. Channel Oversight and Enhancement
    • Manage and refine paid media initiatives to maximize return on investment and customer acquisition.
    • Collaborate on SEO strategies to boost organic search visibility and website traffic.
    • Lead initiatives for website optimization to improve user experience and conversion rates.
    • Direct social media strategies to engage and attract new customers.
    • Oversee the event strategy, ensuring alignment with acquisition and engagement objectives.
  3. Support for Segment Leaders
    • Work alongside segment leaders to facilitate the achievement of their program goals.
    • Provide strategic insights and support to ensure the effectiveness of acquisition efforts across different segments.
  4. Performance Monitoring and Reporting
    • Track and assess key performance indicators to gauge the success of acquisition strategies and campaigns.
    • Deliver regular performance reports and insights to senior management, offering data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  5. Innovation and Future Channel Exploration
    • Identify and investigate potential new channels for customer acquisition.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously refine acquisition strategies.
  6. Cross-Departmental Collaboration
    • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to ensure cohesive and effective acquisition initiatives.
    • Promote a collaborative atmosphere to align acquisition strategies with overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
  1. Experience in Marketing
    • 7+ years of marketing experience, particularly in acquisition strategies and channel management.
    • Proven experience managing various acquisition channels, including paid media, SEO, social media, and events.
  2. Educational Background
    • Degree in Marketing, Communication, Commerce, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  3. Strategic and Analytical Skills
    • Ability to craft and execute strategic acquisition plans.
    • Strong analytical skills with a focus on performance metrics and optimization.
  4. Organizational Abilities
    • Excellent planning, prioritization, and project management skills.
    • Capability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Communication Proficiency
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
