About the Role

VAN OVERSEAS LTD. is seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping
    • Accurately record and classify financial transactions
    • Prepare and maintain general ledgers, journals, and other financial records
    • Ensure all financial records are up-to-date and compliant with accounting standards
  • Financial Reporting
    • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
    • Ensure all financial reports are accurate, complete, and compliant with accounting standards
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping
    • Perform daily accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including reconciliations and journal entries
    • Ensure all accounting and bookkeeping tasks are completed accurately and on time
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure all financial records and reports are compliant with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks, including internal control weaknesses and financial irregularities
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Skills
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work under pressure. The candidate must be able to work accurately and efficiently in a team environment.
