Pediatric Emergency Clinician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Emergency Clinician to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide critical mental health services to children and adolescents in emergency departments across our region.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Intervention: Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, provide individual, family, and group interventions, and develop treatment plans to address the complex needs of pediatric patients.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond to crisis situations, provide crisis intervention, and work collaboratively with emergency department staff to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
- Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with emergency department staff, community mental health teams, and other service providers to ensure seamless transitions and effective care coordination.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes, and provide regular reports to stakeholders as required.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and knowledge in child and adolescent mental health, and contribute to the development of educational workshops and resources for colleagues and community partners.
- Education and Experience: Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Counselling, or a related field, with a minimum of two years' experience in child and adolescent mental health.
- Skills and Abilities: Comprehensive knowledge of community response procedures, mental health assessment, and crisis intervention; ability to establish rapport with clients and families; and strong communication and collaboration skills.
