Job Overview

S.i. Systems, a leading enterprise health authority client, is seeking a seasoned Cloud Project Manager with a strong background in healthcare to lead the implementation of Azure Landing Zone from inception to completion.

This is a one-year contract with potential extensions, reporting directly to the Director of Project Controls.

Mandatory Skills and Experience
  1. Proven experience in Canadian healthcare sector
  2. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  3. Extensive experience in complex cloud implementation and migration
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Defining the operating model for Cloud Governance, Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), and Financial Operations (FinOps)
  2. Driving organizational culture change, including cloud mindset, process changes, and change management
  3. Resource onboarding and planning
  4. Completion of Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) and Security and Risk Assessment (STRA)
  5. Mapping roles and skills for Cloud Operations, Cloud Governance, Cloud Security, Cloud Automation, and DevOps
  6. Engaging with various departments at Island Health to ensure successful implementation
  7. Coordinating Landing Zone design and implementation
  8. Obtaining Architecture Review Board (ARB) approval
  9. Developing an upskilling plan, including team establishment, gap identification, and individual training plans
  10. Leading Application Assessment and Azure migration
  11. Leading Tooling Acquisition
  12. Forming the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE)
  13. Implementing Cloud Governance
  14. Coordinating DevOps pipeline implementation
  15. Implementing FinOps
  16. Monitoring and Surveillance implementation
  17. Post-implementation testing and validation
  18. Project closure documentation

The successful candidate will deliver a comprehensive project plan, resource plan, communication plan, organizational change plan, Cloud Governance framework, upskilling plan, and PIA/STRA completion, among other deliverables.
