Role Overview:
The Project Manager and Advisor, Mental Health and Health Equity will oversee the effective management, execution, and completion of two pivotal projects: enhancing integrated pathways for mental health and addictions, and initiating a race-based data collection project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Working Group in formulating and executing annual work and project plans.
- Conduct environmental assessments to guide the scope of work.
- Perform research to support project deliverables.
- Engage in qualitative and quantitative data analysis as required.
- Utilize project management methodologies and tools to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Identify, monitor, and address any risks to project deliverables.
- Collaborate with the operations team to align projects with other initiatives.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project progress.
- Foster strong relationships among project stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in a relevant field; a Master of Public Health or Health Administration is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of proven leadership and management experience in complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Strong understanding of design thinking principles and lean methodologies is advantageous.
- Certification in Project Management Principles is a plus.
Skills and Expertise:
- Experience in leading large, complex collaborative initiatives.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of the health sector, including Ontario Health Teams and mental health services.
- Advanced proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Outstanding organizational capabilities.
