We are seeking an enthusiastic Pre-Construction Coordinator to join our team in Edmonton. The successful candidate will provide support to both the Project Development and Estimating services team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and estimates for the managers' final approval prior to their presentation to potential clients.
- Provide input and assist in the establishment and maintenance of the project development record system, including prospective clients, estimates, proposal tracking, and project database.
- Assist in the review of RFQ/RFP/EOI documents to ensure submissions are focused, profitable, articulate, and compliant.
- Research client and project information to assist in proposals and identifying opportunities.
- Set up the documentation control management system for pursuits.
- Maintain unit price, productivity, knowledge, subtrade, and cost database.
- Develop subcontractor work scopes for tendering.
- Confer with engineers, architects, and owners on changes and adjustments to cost estimates and assist in the preparation of studies, materials methods, recommendations, and cost estimates.
- Assist with preparing correspondence, meeting minutes, and other documentation.
- Take part in tender, client, pursuit, project team meetings, and tender closings.
- Attend training courses as required by Manager.
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs both manually and electronically.
- Navigate software packages effectively.
Requirements:
- Enrollment in a post-secondary Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Business, or Technical School (Architectural / Engineering Technologist / Construction Management).
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite considered an asset.
