Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Granite Ridge Community. As a key member of our Long Term Care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide resident supervision and assistance with activities of daily living, including eating, dressing, hygiene, and grooming, as per individual plans of care.
  • Deliver resident care and services, including aiding residents with communication and connections, administering medication under the supervision of a registered health professional, and ensuring residents have access to mobility and assistive devices.
  • Support resident comfort and well-being by providing ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support, as well as oral and dental care, and encouraging participation in programs offered by the Resident Experience Team.

Requirements

  • Completed a Personal Support Worker program from an approved college or private institution, or an Internationally Educated Nurse with a degree in Nursing.
  • Detailed-oriented and proficient in procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatment and providing bedside care to residents.
  • Exercise tact and diplomacy in working with seniors, their families, and general visitors.
