Nursing Care Support Worker Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Care Support Worker to join our team at Romko Residences LTD. As a Nursing Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Assist with serving meal trays and feeding patients
  • Deliver messages, reports, and specimens between departments
  • Maintain patients' rooms, including making beds and ensuring a clean and safe environment
  • Supervise patients' exercise routines and provide support as needed
  • Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas as required
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure a well-stocked environment
  • Bathe, dress, and groom patients with dignity and respect
  • Transport patients between care facilities and provide support during transfers
  • Answer call signals and respond to patients' needs in a timely and compassionate manner
  • Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing operative areas
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations and provide support as needed
Requirements:
  • Health Care Aide Certificate
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and maintain attention to detail
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting
  • Ability to work a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Weight handling up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
