Position Overview:

The Network Infrastructure Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) connectivity, as well as our Cloud infrastructure. This position requires a strong technical background in network support, focusing on advanced troubleshooting and resolution of issues across various networking devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize network functionality by monitoring performance metrics, diagnosing issues, and coordinating upgrades in collaboration with network architects.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network services and equipment, including Cisco ISE, Cisco Umbrella, and Palo Alto devices.
  • Manage cloud networking connections between AWS, Azure, and on-premises systems utilizing BGP.
  • Implement security measures for network systems by establishing and enforcing access policies.
  • Utilize routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF to ensure efficient data transmission.
  • Oversee cloud technologies, including configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of connectivity issues.
  • Apply knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls and AWS transit gateways to enhance network security and performance.
  • Design and optimize network infrastructure to meet organizational needs.
  • Maintain proficiency in NX-OS and IOS operating systems for effective network management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, security, or network administration roles, with expertise in Amazon Web Services and multi-site communications.
  • Cisco CCNA Certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with PC/LAN hardware and software implementation.
  • Proven experience in network connectivity and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Azure and AWS Cloud connectivity, as well as wireless networking.
  • Strong understanding of WAN and BGP protocols.
  • Hands-on experience configuring ASR routers and encryption technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • ITIL certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Cisco ISE and wireless connectivity protocols.
