Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at CG Consulting Group. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Network Infrastructure Deployment: Deploy and operate network infrastructure primarily related to new connectivity of a data center, branches/campus, and expansion of existing infrastructure.
- Site Turn-up and Integration: Turn up new sites or PODs and integrate with the global WAN, troubleshooting network issues as needed.
- Routing and Switching: Enable and troubleshoot issues with routing protocols and VRF, ensuring seamless network operations.
- Network Troubleshooting: Serve as a point of escalation for production outages related to day-to-day operations or project-driven initiatives.
- Network Expertise: Possess an excellent knowledge of data networking principles, including routers/switches, hardware vendors (Cisco, Arista, etc.), and routing protocols (BGP/OSPF and VRF's).
- Packet Capture Analysis: Analyze packet captures and identify network and application issues using Wireshark.
- Network Technologies: Stay up-to-date with the latest network technologies, including Ethernet, WAN, and IP routing protocols.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure network infrastructure meets business needs and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience with routing, switching, data centers, VX LAN, grid experience, and enterprise-wide network engineering.
- Proficiency in routing protocols like BGP, MPLS, and Cisco.
- Wireshark experience and scripting skills (YAML, Python) are a plus.
