Job Title: Outreach Team Leader

The Salvation Army is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Outreach Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our community outreach program, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and operations of our programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for our members and staff.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to our members as needed.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support our members' goals and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with our Coordinator of Outreach Services to ensure effective program delivery.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to our members.
  • Assist with daily activities, including meal preparation, grocery shopping, and household chores.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with our members, families, and community partners.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Community College diploma or University degree in a related field.
  • Valid Manitoba Class V driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Criminal record check, Child Abuse Registry check, and Adult Abuse Registry check.
  • Acceptable Driver's Abstract.
  • At least two years' experience in developmental services, preferably in the field of disabilities.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 40 pounds.
