At Equitable Life of Canada, we are seeking an experienced Underwriter, Intermediate to join our Individual Insurance team. As an Underwriter, Intermediate, you will play a critical role in risk assessment for life and critical illness products, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible coverage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply strong underwriting expertise in medical, financial, and non-medical risk factors
  • Provide high-quality work consistently
  • Manage daily work volumes independently to meet service standards
  • Deliver exceptional client experiences
  • Comply with legislative requirements, consumer regulations, and reinsurance treaties
  • Contribute to the continuous enhancement of underwriting processes and procedures
Requirements:
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset
  • Superior technical knowledge in medical, financial, and non-medical underwriting
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong reinsurance relationships and negotiation skills
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
