Job Title: Insurance Underwriting Manager

At Equitable Life of Canada, we are seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriting Manager to lead our team of individual underwriters. As a key member of our underwriting department, you will be responsible for ensuring strong technical risk assessment of individual life and critical illness insurance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate and timely underwriting decisions
  • Manage and develop a high-performing underwriting team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve processes
  • Develop and implement underwriting policies and procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of individual insurance underwriting experience
  • College or university degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • FLMI / FALU designation or currently working towards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
