Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive primary care to patients, including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Consult with specialists and other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Advise patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and health education.
- Prescribe and administer medications, vaccinations, and other treatments.
- Report births, deaths, and contagious diseases to public health authorities.
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership.
