Job Title: Lead Hand Diesel Mechanic

Rush Enterprises, Inc. is a leading commercial vehicle dealership group in North America, representing top brands in the industry. We are seeking a skilled Lead Hand Diesel Mechanic to join our team at one of our Ontario locations.

Job Summary:

The Lead Hand Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for providing technical and administrative support to our technicians, ensuring the highest level of service quality and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to technicians, including spot-checking repairs and reviewing work orders.
  • Maintain service quality and assist with jobs on the shop floor.
  • Strive for harmony with all departments, focusing on teamwork and exceptional customer service.
  • Communicate with service customers and the Service Advisor to schedule shop work efficiently.
  • Motivate and counsel technicians, ensuring they follow warranty material disposition procedures.
  • Prepare repair estimates and review technicians' repair orders for accuracy.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advances through training and service letters.
Requirements:
  • Licensed Technician with 310T Certification.
  • Good communication skills and a positive work attitude.
  • Quality-driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • SAP experience is an asset.
  • Valid Driver's License and a good driving record.
  • Criminal Record Check and Driver's Abstract.
  • AZ/DZ License is an asset.
