About the Role

Software Secured is a leading provider of Penetration Testing as a Service, with a strong presence in the industry. We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Penetration Tester to join our team and contribute to the security of our clients' mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform security code review, web, mobile, and network security tests to identify vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for remediation.
  • Collaborate with clients to design secure applications, conduct threat modeling, and develop remediation strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our clients' security posture.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in penetration testing, with a strong background in software development in one or more of Python,.NET, Ruby, or Java.
  • Expertise in the OWASP Top 10 and the ability to explain them clearly.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid work visa.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with open-source contributions, public speaking, or training in a professional capacity.
  • Teaching experience, preferably in security or computer science topics.
  • Competitive experience in Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions.
What We Offer
  • A competitive base salary of $95,000 - $125,000 CAD.
  • The opportunity to work remotely from anywhere in Canada, with the option to work from our Ottawa office when desired.
  • Up to 2 months of remote work per year from anywhere in the world.
  • A yearly profit-sharing program, with a potential payout of 7 - 12% of your base salary.
