Critical Care Nurse

Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill adults, utilizing a multidisciplinary and collaborative team approach.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and evaluate patient care, providing nursing care according to the standards of practice for Registered Nurses in Critical Care.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, administering medications and treatments as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Critical Care Certificate or evidence of current work in progress preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience in an acute care, medical-surgical setting.
- Minimum two (2) years nursing experience within an ICU setting (within the last 2 years) preferred.
