Job Summary
Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As a critical care nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and evaluate patient care, providing nursing care according to the standards of practice for Registered Nurses in Critical Care.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, administering medications and treatments as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Critical Care Certificate or evidence of current work in progress preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience in an acute care, medical-surgical setting.
- Minimum two (2) years nursing experience within an ICU setting (within the last 2 years) preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient care requirements and critical care standards for the assessment and management of the critically ill adult patient.
