About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our care team at Bethany Care Society. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, their families, and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resident-Centered Care: Provide exceptional care and support to residents, prioritizing their needs and preferences.
  • Documentation: Accurately and comprehensively document resident care assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Safety: Contribute to a safe environment for residents, team members, and self by adhering to safety guidelines and practices.
  • Pro-Active Learner: Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, attending education opportunities and sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Team Work: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve and maintain a responsible atmosphere of resident-centered care.
  • Leadership: Provide direction and supervision to Health Care Aides and assume the 'In Charge' role when necessary.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program
  • Previous LPN experience is preferred
  • Active Registration and good standing with CLPNA
  • Able to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment
  • Demonstrates ability to understand, speak, read, and write effectively in English
  • Excellent observation, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Current CPR certification
  • Dementia Care Certificate and experience preferred
  • Knowledge of RAI/MDS 2.0 tool, computer skills, and electronic documentation is preferred
