Job Opportunity:

Arterra Wines Canada is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Winery Associate. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our visitors, showcasing our award-winning wines, and driving sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring a memorable experience for each visitor
  • Conduct engaging and informative wine tastings, highlighting our unique products
  • Utilize our point-of-sale system to process transactions and manage inventory
  • Assist with special events, including wine tastings and pairings
  • Provide exceptional service in both formal and informal settings
  • Represent the winery at offsite events, promoting our brand and products
  • Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and welcoming environment

Requirements:

  • Smart Serve Certification
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work well in a team-focused environment
  • Motivation to exceed sales targets
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Ambitious and goal-oriented
  • Retail experience is a must-have
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Previous serving experience would be an asset
  • Fluency in French, Chinese, Korean, or Japanese would be considered an asset
  • Wine knowledge is an asset, but training is provided
  • Must be available to work on evenings and weekends
