About the Role

CIBC is seeking a skilled Trust Officer to join our team in Toronto. As a Trust Officer, you will play a critical role in managing and administering Estates, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationships - Develop strong partnerships with clients and beneficiaries to provide exceptional client service. Maintain effective communication to keep parties informed of key activities and milestones.
  • Trust and Estate Expertise - Ensure onboarding and account management meet the unique needs of clients and the characteristics of Estates and Trusts. Monitor compliance with governing documents and resolve operational issues.
  • Coaching and Mentoring - Oversee and guide Trust Administrator workflow to support business priorities. Create a positive work environment and uphold CIBC's values.

Requirements

  • Experience - Demonstrated 4-8 years' experience in Estate & Trust Industry. Detailed knowledge of accounting and investing to administer moderately complex accounts.
  • Certification - Certified professional with Member Trust Institute (MTI) and/or Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation(s) preferred.
  • Communication Skills - Use your influence to build relationships and networks for success. Investigate complex issues and communicate detailed information effectively.
  • Goal-oriented - Driven to achieve goals and make an impact.
  • Values-driven - Bring your authentic self to work and embody trust, teamwork, and accountability.
