Job Summary

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in the Emergency Department at Bethesda Regional Health Centre. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, and control the administration of therapeutics and educational activities related to respiratory therapy services.
  • Provide clinical support to physicians and practitioners in clinics by coordinating and managing client needs referred for respiratory care.
  • Exercise independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods, and actions to be taken on unusual matters.
  • Function in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an approved School of Respiratory Therapy Program, accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Respiratory Therapy Education.
  • Active membership and good standing with the Manitoba Association of Registered Respiratory Therapists.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population.
  • Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) is essential for target and designated bilingual positions.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job.
  • Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality in paper, electronic formats, and other mediums.
  • Good work and attendance record.
Conditions of Employment
  • Completes and maintains a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.
  • All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority's policy.
