Job Summary
The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the Bethesda Regional Health Centre. As a Respiratory Therapist - Clinical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in the Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and control the administration of therapeutics and educational activities related to respiratory therapy services.
- Provide clinical support to physicians and practitioners in the clinics by coordinating and managing client needs referred for respiratory care.
- Exercise independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods, and action to be taken on unusual matters.
- Function in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an approved School of Respiratory Therapy Program, accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Respiratory Therapy Education.
- Active membership and good standing with the Manitoba Association of Registered Respiratory Therapists.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population.
- Proficiency in both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions.
- Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job.
- Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality.
- Good work and attendance record.
Conditions of Employment
- Completes and maintains a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.
- All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority's policy.
