At insightsoftware, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement database infrastructure to support our growing customer base
  • Install, patch, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases
  • Provide database administration services to application development, professional services, and support teams
  • Research, evaluate, design, test, recommend, and plan implementation of new database software and tools
  • Manage database backup and recovery processes
  • Create automation scripts for database operations using Bash and PowerShell
  • Implement technical controls to support and enforce defined security policies
  • Participate in SOC2/ISO27001 audits and ensure compliance with audited controls
  • Provide 24/7 on-call rotational duty and participate in weekend on-call rotations
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience as a MS SQL Administrator
  • 3+ years of experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL
  • Strong knowledge of database management, performance monitoring, and performance tuning tools
  • Knowledge of Linux system administration and Bash scripting
  • Experience with MS Azure Cloud, PowerShell scripting, and Azure SQL is strongly preferred
