Your role entails

The Commercial Operations Manager is accountable for overseeing all commercial and legal aspects related to project timelines, costs, and quality standards. This position involves financial analysis of projects and providing support to Siemens' branches as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Operations Management:
    • Ensure timely project initiation, including defining revenue recognition methods, project structure, cost planning, and managing insurance and guarantees.
    • Oversee and manage commercial projects, analyze discrepancies between planned and actual outcomes, collaborate with project managers on updates, invoicing, payments, and project reporting.
    • Forecast and report on project-related financials, assist business lines in forecasting processes, and manage project provisions.
    • Identify opportunities and risks, evaluate prospects with project managers, and manage claims and contracts.
  • Financial Analyst Support:
    • Conduct financial reporting, assist project managers and branch operation managers, and support control audits.
    • Assist controlling with internal control audits and manage ad-hoc responsibilities.

Qualifications for success

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related field (Master's Degree is advantageous) OR 3+ years of experience in commercial operations management.
  • Familiarity with the construction sector and project management principles.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, knowledge of accounting principles, and financial reporting.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively, be adaptable, self-driven, proactive, and possess excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional experience in commercial operations management.
  • Experience with SAP and relevant systems, understanding of risk management, contract law, and project oversight.
  • Location: Hybrid role requiring occasional office presence.
