Role Overview: As a VDC Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing project delivery through innovative virtual design and construction methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the VDC Leadership team to formulate a comprehensive BIM Execution Plan and an effective VDC implementation strategy.
  • Interpret the owner’s BIM / Employers Information Requirements (EIR) and utilize a tailored suite of software tools to produce model-based deliverables.
  • Exercise creativity and autonomy to establish project-specific workflows that leverage BIM data for estimating, logistics, planning, scheduling (4D), coordination, field layout, and management facilitation.
  • Engage with project stakeholders to develop solutions through model-based design, constructability reviews, clash detection, and visualization techniques.
  • Oversee and maintain BIM data generated from diverse sources throughout the design and construction phases, taking charge of coordination meetings with designers, trades, and suppliers.
  • Create drawings and construction documents from the BIM using standardized details and workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with the field team, utilizing intelligent building models to monitor on-site progress and contribute to overall project schedules and plans.
  • Apply your 3D modeling expertise to represent, visualize, and coordinate Architectural, Structural, MEP, and Construction Logistic elements as required.
  • Facilitate reality capture initiatives, employing LiDAR, Drones, and 360 Photography for model integration, quality assurance/control, analysis, and visualization.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree or Technology Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, M&E, or a related discipline.
  • 1-3+ years of professional experience focused on BIM Management, Modeling, and technologies, ideally with relevant experience in engineering and/or construction sectors, including document production and M&E coordination.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD / AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Navisworks.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk BIM360, Revizto, and Synchro Pro is advantageous.
  • Strong ability to interpret design and construction drawings.
  • BIM-related training or certifications are considered beneficial (Building Transformations, BuildingSMART).
  • RPAS (Drone) Operator Certification or the capability to obtain it.
