Job Title: Community Health Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Community Health Coordinator to join our team at the Canadian Red Cross. In this role, you will work closely with our Occupational Therapist to coordinate the day-to-day delivery of our Health Equipment Loan Program, including the Specialized Equipment Program and Transitional Care Unit pilot expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the delivery of health equipment to clients, including pickups and drop-offs.
  • Work with the Occupational Therapist to maintain inventory records and ensure accurate tracking of equipment loans and returns.
  • Liaise with hospitals and long-term care facilities to ensure smooth delivery of the Health Equipment Loan Program.
  • Provide administrative support, including financial transactions and communication with clients.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education or diploma in a health-related field.
  • 1-2 years of job-related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driver's abstract.

Working Conditions:

  • Valid driver's license to travel within Nova Scotia.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment screening process, including a satisfactory Enhanced Police Information Check (E-PIC).
