Job Overview
The individual in this role will be accountable for the formulation, monitoring, and execution of comprehensive launch strategies for all new product introductions, including novel compounds and line extensions from submission to market entry. Responsibilities will encompass all tasks and requirements pertinent to the global market associated with the Project Manager's portfolio.
The role requires providing expertise, guidance, and support to key stakeholders throughout the launch journey.
Collaboration with colleagues in Sales & Marketing, R&D, and Operations is essential to ensure timely and successful product launches.
The Project Manager will have the capacity to influence strategic direction and engage with various stakeholders at all levels, driving outcomes and proactively addressing challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Exhibit advanced project management capabilities by leveraging tools, systems, methodologies, and software to lead, plan, manage, and execute all global launches at the molecule/SKU level across Apotex facilities. Implement the Stage Gate process and manage projects in GNPL tools as necessary to ensure launch readiness. Act as the primary leader and contact for cross-functional teams across Apotex locations to create global launch plans at the SKU level from submission to market entry for all markets within the assigned portfolio. Make decisions regarding Target Launch Date adjustments and ensure alignment with R&D based on input from Intellectual Property, R&D, and Sales & Marketing. Where consensus is not reached, escalate for resolution regarding changes to the Target Launch Date. Provide recommendations on complex and sensitive go/no-go decisions based on risk assessment. Organize and facilitate site-based launch meetings. Communicate launch plans and priorities to functional departments on a monthly basis and as changes arise. Monitor project progress and report exceptions to all relevant areas, including changes, issues, and decisions. Effectively utilize designated systems and applications to support launch success and for communication purposes. Update and maintain all databases required by GNPL. Collaborate with management across the organization to assess customer needs and gather feedback to enhance customer service. Recommend and engage in the implementation of departmental and cross-functional process improvement initiatives. Work collaboratively as a team member to achieve all outcomes in a safe manner. Ensure compliance with all relevant programs, including the Global Business Ethics & Compliance Program, Global Quality policies and procedures, Safety & Environment policies, and HR policies.Additional relevant duties may be assigned as necessary.
Job Qualifications
Education: University degree or equivalent in Business and/or Science-related fields. PMP Certification or progress towards certification is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English. Strong decision-making, interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills. Excellent project management and leadership capabilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
