About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Wright Construction Services Inc. for a variety of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials for building and renovation projects.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems for commercial and residential construction projects.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware for new construction and renovation projects.
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on best practices and safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years in the carpentry trade.
  • Working at heights training.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Carpenter Red Seal Certificate.
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course.
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Own transportation.
Work Environment
  • Work in a fast-paced construction environment with tight deadlines.
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Work in a team environment with other skilled tradespeople.
