Position Overview:The Practical Nursing Specialist:
  • Collaborates with a diverse healthcare team to conduct evaluations, develop care plans, implement strategies, and deliver comprehensive personal and nursing services to patients, including advanced wound management, intravenous therapy, catheterization, and pleurex drainage.
  • Administers medications via oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular routes in accordance with pharmaceutical guidelines and institutional policies.
  • Operates within the established competency framework and adheres to the full scope of practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) Standards of Practice and organizational protocols.

This role presents a CASUAL OPPORTUNITY. Casual positions may involve variable hours and shifts with little prior notice. Casual staff members are eligible to apply for both permanent and temporary roles within the organization, offering avenues for career advancement.
