About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Quality Management Coordinator to join our team at Teck. As a key member of our quality management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and facilitate quality management processes, including continuous improvement reviews and functional activities.
  • Administer and manage the Projects Procedures Manual, ensuring it remains up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.
  • Collect and compile data for various areas, such as risk, lessons learned, and assurance, to inform quality management decisions.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with project teams, functional leads, and other partners to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Assist with preparing and coordinating reports, presentations, and functional training to support quality management initiatives.
  • Support the administration of project systems and tools, ensuring they are properly maintained and updated.
  • Manage functional team administrative activities, including coordinating meetings, travel arrangements, and the department calendar.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality on highly sensitive matters.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, such as document formatting and meeting minutes.
Requirements
  • A university or college degree or certificate in project management, business administration, engineering, or a related field, or alternatively, five or more years of relevant experience in administrative support for technical or project personnel.
  • Knowledge of the mining or construction industry would be considered highly valuable.
  • Proven understanding of project practices, continuous improvement, and/or quality management.
  • A problem-solver with excellent organizational and planning skills and the capacity to work under pressure while prioritizing activities based on comparative importance and vitality.
  • An interpersonal and self-motivated individual, able to take the initiative to collaborate closely with other teams and build relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including technical writing.
  • The capability to convey technical information and be comfortable with analyzing data.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems and the ISO 9001:2015 Standard is an asset.
  • Proficient in various platforms, inclusive of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, Visio, SharePoint and MS Power Platform.
  • Fluency in Spanish is an asset.

Salary Range

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
