Civil Engineering Co-op Student Opportunity

Hatch Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Co-op Student to join our Infrastructure, Water group. As a co-op student, you will have the opportunity to work on complex projects, gain hands-on experience, and develop your skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design development of watermains and sewers, including creating construction plans and details.
  • Perform engineering calculations to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of designs.
  • Prepare technical reports documenting project specifications, design calculations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Apply civil engineering software for modeling and analysis, and assist in the preparation of technical drawings using CAD software.
  • Participate in occasional site visits to monitor project progress and collect photographic information.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering degree co-op program at an accredited University.
  • Strong CAD skills, and experience with AutoCAD/MicroStation is required.
  • Positive team attitude, results-oriented, and ability to work independently.
  • Passion for learning, challenges, and your field of study.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
