Job Opportunity at Hatch

Hatch is seeking a talented and motivated Structural Designer Co-op Student to join our team in the Infrastructure, Water group. As a co-op student, you will have the opportunity to work on complex projects, collaborate with diverse teams, and gain valuable experience in the field of civil engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support project managers and engineers in the preparation of design drawings and technical information for civil municipal projects.
  • Assist in CAD design of municipal infrastructure, including electrical drawing development for wastewater and water treatment plants, sewer, watermains, and roads.
  • Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks for municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with other technicians and related disciplines to produce design deliverables.
  • Compile design drawings and prepare design submissions and other technical documents.
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering Technology degree co-op program at an accredited college.
  • Strong CAD skills, with experience in AutoCAD/MicroStation.
  • Positive team attitude, results-oriented, and ability to work independently.
  • Passion for learning, challenges, and the field of study.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
