We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our Sterile Processing Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient processing of medical equipment and devices.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and sterilize medical equipment and devices for surgical and endoscopy procedures
- Assemble and restock surgical instrument trays and carts
- Process and maintain medical equipment and devices to ensure optimal functionality
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless workflow and efficient processing
- Maintain accurate records and reports of equipment processing and maintenance
- Grade 12 or recognized equivalent
- Successful completion of a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician program and practicum
- 6 months of related experience in a healthcare setting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 40 lbs
This is a full-time position working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The successful candidate will be required to work in a Windows operating environment and have strong computer skills.
