- Transmission Fault Location: Test equipment to locate transmission faults and determine the cause of issues.
- Apprentice Instruction: Instruct apprentices on the installation and maintenance of telephone equipment and systems.
- Report Completion: Complete and maintain test and service reports to ensure accurate documentation of work completed.
- Work Environment: Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures to install and maintain equipment.
- Cable Management: Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets to ensure efficient communication network operation.
- Work Assignment: Determine work assignments and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Internet Access: Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access for customers.
- System Maintenance: Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems to ensure reliable communication services.
- Equipment Repair: Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers to prevent communication disruptions.
- Wire Connection: Splice, join, and connect wires to ensure proper communication network operation.
- Defective Equipment Repair: Repair or replace defective telephone equipment to ensure reliable communication services.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in telecommunications equipment installation and maintenance.
- Work Language: English.
- Work Term: Permanent.
- Hours: 40 hours per week.
