Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Prescott-Russell Residence, a long-term care facility in Ontario. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to residents, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and developing individualized care plans.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of nursing staff, ensuring that care is delivered in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Conduct regular assessments of residents' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses.
  • Experience in long-term care or gerontology nursing, with a strong understanding of the needs and challenges of older adults.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including those related to patient confidentiality and consent.
