Job Summary:

Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for working closely with various departments to compile annual budgets, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and contribute to ministry reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of hospitals' annual operating and capital budgets
  • Contribute to quarterly reporting requirements
  • Investigate and document explanations for variances to ensure appropriate actions are taken
  • Compile and analyze statistics regarding sick/overtime trends, variances, and fluctuations by department
  • Analyze general ledger accounts and make corrections as necessary
  • Reconcile accounts, provide month-end, year-end, and audit assistance
  • Assist with other duties and assignments as required

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of accounting and financial experience within a computerized accounting environment, preferably in a healthcare facility
  • Proficient Microsoft Suite skills, including spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all staff, departments, third-party vendors, and visitors
  • Ability to be resourceful and find answers and solutions to various demands
  • Conduct ad-hoc projects, including analyzing large volumes of data and communicating findings
  • Must demonstrate excellent organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to act in a calm, professional manner consistent with the hospital's values
  • Bilingual, French and English, considered an asset

Education and/or Certification:

  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Business - Required
  • Completion of professional accounting designation (CPA) or in the process of obtaining - Required
