Job Summary:

Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for working with departments to compile their annual budgets, reconcile various balance sheet accounts, and contribute to various ministry reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Manager of Finance and CFO in the preparation of hospitals' annual operating and capital budget
  • Responsible for assisting in the quarterly reporting requirements
  • Investigate and document explanations for variances to ensure appropriate actions are taken
  • Compile and analyze statistics regarding sick/overtime trends, variances, and fluctuations by department
  • Analyze general ledger accounts and make corrections as necessary
  • Help reconcile accounts, provide month-end, year-end, and audit assistance

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years accounting and financial experience within a computerized accounting environment, preferably within a healthcare facility
  • Proficient Microsoft Suite skills, including spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all staff, departments, third-party vendors, and visitors
  • Ability to be resourceful to find answers and solutions to various demands
  • Conduct ad-hoc projects, including analyzing large volumes of data and communicating findings
  • Must demonstrate excellent organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to act in a calm, professional manner consistent with the hospital's values
  • Bilingual, French and English, considered an asset

Education and/or Certification:

  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Business – Required
  • Completion of professional accounting designation (CPA) or in the process of obtaining – Required
