Natural Food Pantry provides a wide selection of products, including gluten-free options, bulk items, nutritional supplements, organic produce and meats, homeopathic remedies, natural body care, eco-friendly goods, and specialty items. We have proudly served our community for many years.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall management of store activities, encompassing various managerial tasks such as human resources, community outreach, customer service excellence, operational efficiency, sales strategies, logistics, and product display.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of the Retail Operations Manager can be categorized into marketing, product display, inventory management, staff oversight, and administrative duties as outlined below:

  1. Marketing:
    • Ensure outstanding customer service and satisfaction;
    • Stay informed about emerging trends and products in the market;
    • Coordinate store events and demonstrations;
    • Implement monthly merchandising and promotional strategies;
    • Support marketing initiatives through various channels;
    • Engage in management marketing discussions.
  2. Product Display and Inventory:
    • Manage product arrangement and realignment as needed;
    • Assist in purchasing across all store departments, adhering to company policies;
    • Meet with suppliers and product representatives;
    • Ensure sufficient stock levels to meet sales goals;
    • Oversee incoming inventory and manage warehouse orders;
    • Receive, price, and display products as necessary;
    • Conduct inventory assessments for reorder preparation;
    • Manage excess stock and store transfers to reduce waste;
    • Ensure proper product rotation to minimize spoilage.
  3. Staff Oversight:
    • Supervise all store personnel, including assistant managers;
    • Lead recruitment and onboarding processes;
    • Train new employees alongside assistant managers;
    • Ensure staff possess the necessary skills to provide excellent customer service;
    • Conduct regular team meetings to keep staff informed.
  4. Administrative Duties:
    • Manage profit and loss statements;
    • Oversee key performance metrics and develop action plans for improvement;
    • Handle daily cash management and reconciliation;
    • Ensure secure opening and closing procedures;
    • Maintain store security and asset management protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • 5+ years of experience in a management role;
  • Background in grocery retail, particularly with fresh products;
  • Solid understanding of natural health products;
  • Strong communication skills in English;
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends;
  • Knowledge of additional languages is a plus;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and POS systems.
