Job Title: Junior Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Estimator to join our team at Edge Group Ltd.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, preparing pre-qualification submissions, and reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, engineers, architects, and contractors
  3. Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather data for estimates
  4. Operate CADD and other computer software systems to create estimates and reports
  5. Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
  6. Project cash flow and financing requirements
  7. Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bids forms
  8. Analyze tenders and recommend awards
  9. Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
  10. Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors
Requirements:
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in estimating or quantity surveying
  • Computer skills: MS Excel, CADD software
  • Language: English
  • Work setting: Estimating, Quantity Surveying
